Restaurants, bars, cafés to remain closed until mid-February
The French prime minister said the situation in France is 'far from returning to normal'

Restaurants, bars and cafés, which have been shut due to Covid-related restrictions since October 30, will remain closed until at least mid February, Prime Minister Jean Castex said tonight (January 7).
All cultural establishments, such as cinemas, theatres and museums will remain closed until at least the end of January.
This is also the case with ski lifts and sports centres.
A meeting will be held on January 20 concerning those in the culture industry and mountain sports industry to assess a possible re-opening for these places at the beginning of February.
“Even if the virus circulates slightly less in France than in most of our neighbouring countries, the situation is far from returning to normal,” Mr Castex said.
