People hoping to get away for an Easter break can now buy train tickets for journeys around France.
SNCF has today (January 12) opened TGV and Intercités ticket sales for trips scheduled between March 28 and May 12.
From tomorrow (January 13), tickets for journeys between May 13 and July 1 will also be put on sale.
It is already possible to book cheaper Ouigo tickets up to July 1, and international TGV tickets – which are now bookable six months in advance – up to July 7.
In the context of the fifth Covid wave and the rapid spread of Omicron, SNCF has already had to reduce its services this month, and the outlook for the spring season remains uncertain.

“Bearing in mind the 30% reduction in reservations recorded since the beginning of the year, especially in the week, the TGV timetable will be adapted from the week of January 10, with 90% of the planned offer maintained, and 80% for Intercités trains,” an SNCF Voyageurs spokesperson told AFP.
