A cold ‘peak’ is expected on Sunday, November 28, and strong wind will make temperatures feel colder still.
Snow is expected to fall in some areas, with the first flakes forecast overnight from Friday to Saturday, and up to 2-5cm in the northeast.
On Saturday, November 27, snow is forecast at low altitudes from the Pyrenees to the northeast, with a mix of rain and snow in lowlands.

Brittany will see showers, rain, and sleet all weekend, and may see a slight covering of snow; while snow is also expected across the whole country on Sunday, especially in Lille (Hauts-de-France), Tarbes (Hautes-Pyrénées), Lyon (Rhône); and Strasbourg (Grand Est).
Heavier snowfall is also especially expected in Bourg-Saint-Maurice (Savoie); Aurillac (Cantal); and Gap (Hautes-Alpes).
Some areas will see the snow become more rain-like on Sunday, as temperatures rise slightly in the afternoon.
However, it will still be cold in many areas, with a ‘peak of cold’ expected on Sunday morning, including -6C in Gap, -4C in Bourg-Saint-Maurice, 0 in Strasbourg, Metz (Grand Est), and Vichy (Allier).
