UK-France flights and restart plans for July
Airlines are slowly restarting flights for summer with more details of timetables announced last weekend.
Here is a round-up of route updates on flights between France and the UK from July 1.
Ryanair
Ryanair is set to restart more than 170 routes from and to France from July 1. 27 airports in France will be in use notably Marseille and Toulouse.
Routes available to book between France and the UK from July are: Marseille-London; Marseille-Manchester; Marseille-Edinburgh; Nice-London; Toulouse-London; Toulouse-Edinburgh; Bordeaux-Edinburgh; Bordeaux-London; Bordeaux-Manchester.
Flights between Nice and Dublin will also be available from July 1.
EasyJet
EasyJet has announced it will run around 500 flights everyday across Europe, from July 1. The company plans to fly about half of its 1,022 routes in July before increasing to about 75% in August.
Since June 15, only one route has been serving UK-France - Nice to London Gatwick. From July 1, other routes should be made available such as Toulouse-London Gatwick; Toulouse-Bristol; Nice-London Luton; Lyon-Edinburgh and Lyon-London Gatwick.
British Airways
British Airways is operating a limited number of flights between Paris and London; Nice and London. The company says it is “a fast-moving situation” and the flight schedule could evolve later.
Air France
Air France is planning to gradually restart 80% of its usual flights this summer. However, the company says it will mainly reinforce its domestic schedule, ie in France.
But direct flights are available to book in July between Paris and London; Paris and Manchester; Paris and Cork; Paris and Dublin. Flights between Lyon and London; Lyon and Manchester; Bordeaux and London are also available, but most require a connection in Paris.
Jet2
Jet2 says it will restart its normal schedule from July 15. Customers who were due to travel before July 15 will be directly contacted by the company to amend their booking.
