Mystery surrounds British tourist found with chest wounds in Marseille

Mystery surrounds a report of a British tourist found with stab wounds to her chest in Marseille on Tuesday evening and who is said to be in a critical state.

The woman, aged 20, was found by joggers along the city’s popular seaside Corniche at around 18:30, claims French media ActuMarseille.

It reports that the wounds may have been self-inflicted and that the woman is thought to have stabbed herself in the chest. She was taken to hospital in a “serious condition” according to ambulance workers.

Emergency services have declined to give information on the case when contacted by The Connexion and no more information is available at this point.
