Body of missing student found buried in Paris wood
The teenager had been reported missing a day earlier by her parents whom she was due to visit

The body of a missing student has been discovered buried in a Paris wood, the Bois de Boulogne.
The 19-year-old had been seen for the last time on September 20 at 14:00 after having lunch in Paris Dauphine, where she was studying. She was then due to visit her parents but they raised the alarm when she did not arrive.
Around 50 people close to the student found the body on Saturday a day later, buried in the 845-hectare Bois de Boulogne (16th arrondissement).
Family and friends began searching in the woods after the student’s mobile phone geolocalised her to that location.
The body has been formally identified as the student, named Philippine, confirmed Le Parisien.
A murder investigation has been opened by the Paris public prosecutor's office.

Police say there are “numerous signs of abuse and injuries” on the body, and some witnesses have reported seeing a man with a pickaxe in the area. The public prosecutor has so far declined to offer further information and no arrests have been made.
