Several types of bottled supermarket milk recalled in France
The public are being warned not to consume the products concerned
Several types of bottled milk sold in major supermarkets across France have been recalled due to a taste or smell defect.
Multiple products by the brand Candia are listed on the Rappel Conso site – a government platform for reporting product alerts and other recalls.
The recalls began on Monday (October 23) and the Rappel Conso website advises you to stop consuming these products and return them to the point of sale or to destroy them.
This consumer recall concerns the following products, all of the Candia brand:
- Candia Malin Maxi Pack: 1L bottle, pack x8
- Semi-skimmed grandmilk: 1.5 L x4, 1L x6, 1L x8 bottle, pack x10
- Grandlait Pleine Saveur (whole): 1L bottle, pack x6
- Skimmed silhouette: 1L bottle, pack x6
- Viva: 1L x6 and x8 bottle
Batch numbers affected
To identify the products, Rappel Conso advises checking the batch number, the date of minimum durability, the factory identification letter (F) and the production line (04).

The bottles were sold in most major supermarkets, including Auchan, Intermarché, Francap, Leclerc, Carrefour, Système U, Provera, Métro, Casino (Casino, Vival, Spar), Monoprix, Proxy and Maximo, and across all regions of France.

The end date for the recall procedure is Wednesday, December 20, 2023. Affected consumers can be compensated via a discount voucher.
A telephone number (09 69 32 09 92) has been set up to contact consumer services about the recall.
