Artist appeals for help translating mysterious message left by her late father

An artist is desperately seeking help translating a mysterious message bequeathed by her philosopher father.
Anne Guibert-Lassalle has copied the framed inscription that sat on her late father's desk for 15 years into a work of art and is taking it to exhibitions of her work.
Next to the painting of the mysterious symbols, which are repeated three times, is a note: "If you can read this message, write to anne.guibert-lassalle@wanadoo.fr"
Ms Guibert-Lassalle, from Perros-Guirec in Côtes-d'Armor, said that her investigations had so far discovered the symbols were not Arabic, Hebrew or a number of other languages that her father spoke.
So far, a request for help to the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilisations has proved fruitless, she told regional newspaper Ouest France.
"Maybe I'm on the wrong track ... I don't think that's a message especially for me, or a coded message. It is a text that must exist somewhere. A quote from someone. I feel like I'm looking for the Grail and not asking the right question at the right time."
