Space-saving potager

When it comes to finding a ‘potager’ for a small space, the Küb modular unit (pictured, above) is a great solution – you can choose a format that suits you.

Made of pine 20mm thick, its overall dimensions are W 91.5 x D 91.5 x H 53cm, giving a capacity of 236 litres and it comes with a two-year warranty.

Available from www.gammvert.fr for €99 (web exclusive price).

Jobs for the garden

With spring now sprung, there is plenty to be doing in your garden during April, not least cleaning your greenhouse and deadheading spring bulbs and bedding.

It is also the time to sow rocket and other easy salad leaves, as well as outdoor varieties of tomatoes and courgettes (plus chillies!) in pots, ensuring they are good to plant outside in late May or June.

Now is also the moment to order summer bedding and hanging basket plants online, if this is how you shop.

Home comforts for a pampered pooch

Although not strictly a garden item – though it is crafted from plywood with a natural walnut veneer to set off the washable 100% polyester cushions – this stylish dog bed is sure to tempt dog-loving Connexion readers into treating their pooch to some extra home comfort.

Measuring 75cm wide and 49cm deep, it is perhaps not ideal for a Great Dane or St Bernard!
