To the Editor,
I am an Amazon Prime member in the UK and have had to take out a separate Prime membership on my Amazon France account.
I think this is very unfair as it is not cheap.
Amazon should let Prime users put their membership into use in whichever country they are ordering from.
I would love them to address this issue as I frequently order from Amazon in both countries.

To the Editor,
In response to Darren Ball’s letter in The Connexion regarding the rising cost of Amazon UK’s deliveries to France.
I have found a handy solution using Amazon.de (Germany) and, on occasions, Amazon.es (Spain). Often the prices are cheaper than Amazon.fr, and with no customs hassles.
Also, many drugs that are by prescription-only here in France can be obtained simply online from Germany!

To the Editor,
The only reason I can see for buying goods from Amazon UK is if you need something like a digital qwerty keyboard.
I shop on Amazon.fr and other French sites. As yet I have never failed to locate exactly what I want, including English language media.
This view that Britons, living in France, have that they cannot get what they want here is ridiculous.
Alright, some things, including certain foods, might not be quite the same, but there are always acceptable alternatives.
You chose to live in France, so stop bleating and shop locally.

Editor’s note: An Amazon spokesperson confirmed that Prime memberships are country-specific to customise and localise the benefits. To switch, customers can cancel their existing membership and sign up for Prime in their preferred country, they said.
