Police say the mother took the infant from hospital

[Update 19:15: Police say both the mother and her baby have been found safe]
Police are searching for a missing baby that was taken by its mother from a hospital in the Paris area. The Interior Ministry launched a national abduction alert on Friday evening.
The baby was taken from the hospital in Meaux (Seine-et-Marne) “between 19:35 and 20:30” on Thursday (January 18).
The infant’s mother, Tracy (also known as Chelsea) Ngoie, 21, is described as “of dark complexion, black eyes, black hair, normal build, wearing a white t-shirt, grey trousers and a red satin hat,” states the Interior Ministry.
The one-month-old, called Neilylah, is described as “a baby of dark complexion, with curly black hair, measuring 50 cm and weighing around 3kg”.
The baby had been hospitalised due to health problems.
People are warned not to attempt to intervene, and to contact the authorities on 197 or by mail to alerte-enlevement@interieur.gouv.fr.
