Air force chiefs are rethinking their use of golden eagles to stop possible drone attacks on security sites after one eagle attacked a girl at a picnic in the Pyrénées and clawed her back.
The bird can down drones quickly in a terror attack but dived on the five-year-old, who had a top tied round her waist, as she played with other children at col d’Osquich.
