Appeal: American, 18, anxious over study decision is missing in Nice
The young man has not been seen since since he went walking on the Promenade des Anglais last night

UPDATE: September 19 - Colin's family report that he returned home late last (Monday September 18) and is now safe.
A family is appealing for help after their 18-year-old son went missing in Nice last night (Sunday September 17).
Robin Murray said her son Colin, who had just turned 18, went walking on the seafront Promenade des Anglais at around 22:00 and then fialed to return home.
Colin had been “experiencing great anxiety and despair” she said.
“We haven’t been able to find him. We went to the police and I think they’re going to put out a missing person report and start looking for him, but I’m hoping to reach more people and get the word out. It’s very distressing.”
Mrs Murray said the family recently moved to Nice from the US and Colin had been worrying over his decision not to take up a history course at a Paris university, having experienced anxiety at the last minute when he was due to enrol.
He returned to Nice last week.
“It would be very unusual for him not to let us know,” she added. “He’s a good person and usually very studious and focused. We’re worried he’s feeling as if he has lost his chance.”
Colin was dressed in a green shirt with a collar and black exercise shorts.
