Boost for farmers in China beef market

French beef will soon be on Chinese shelves as President Macron won agreement to lift the 2001 BSE import ban during a state visit.

Farmers have seen domestic consumption fall 5% a year while China’s grew 33% since 2005.

Talks continue on opening the poultry market.
