Low-cost carrier EasyJet is increasing the number of flights it operates out of Strasbourg airport with four new direct flights to and from the city.

New routes to Nice, Barcelona, and Naples (to run seasonally) from the city will be joined by a service to London Gatwick, the carrier’s main UK hub.

EasyJet will run three flights per week between Strasbourg and London (on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays) from mid November, likely looking to take advantage of the influx of tourists visiting Strasbourg’s famous Christmas markets.

It will compete with the twice-weekly Volotea route between the two cities already in service.

Tickets start at €31 one-way in November (departing Strasbourg – tickets departing from Gatwick are slightly more expensive) although prices rise from December onwards.

London Gatwick is the only UK destination served by the airport.
