Eurostar has announced that there will be a reduced time table in place for the first weekend of November (Friday November 1 - Sunday November 3) on its routes to London.

This includes services from Paris, and will affect people travelling for the November 1 (Toussaint) bank holiday.

The reason for the delays are engineering works on high-speed lines in the north of France, near Calais and the Channel Tunnel, Eurostar announced.

Trains will, on average, take an extra 30 to 40 minutes on the affected dates, making travel time a little more than three hours one-way.

In addition, there are only 10 trains running on these dates, compared to the usual 15.

Departure and journey times can be found on the Eurostar website, with the full timetable for the affected weekend now available.

People scheduled to travel on these days who want to change their tickets or receive a refund can do so, if they are eligible under the terms and conditions of the ticket they originally purchased.

Tickets using the new Eurostar ‘Snap’ service are not refundable, but are up to 50% cheaper than usual tickets.
