Tickets can be purchased online and cover journeys running until late November

Sale tickets are sold on a first-come first-served basis

International train operator Eurostar is currently running a flash sale on thousands of tickets, starting at €25 one way on some routes.

Journeys between all the major cities covered by the operator – London, Paris, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Brussels – have tickets on sale until the evening of September 12.

Tickets between Paris and Brussels begin from €25, €32 between Paris and Amsterdam/Rotterdam, and €39 between London and the French capital (in both directions).

They are on sale on a first-come first-serve basis, covering journeys running between September 24 and November 27.

However, as fewer tickets become available, prices will rise.

The offer is only available online via the SNCFConnect website, and not directly via the Eurostar website, which has tickets at a higher price point.

New rules in November

New rules on all tickets for Eurostar will come into place from November 4, including for ‘Standard’ ‘Standard Premium’ and ‘Business’, the three tiers of travel available.

Tickets sold after this date will be exchangeable up to one hour before departure free of charge, and can be exchanged an unlimited number of times.

If your new ticket is more expensive than the original, passengers will have to pay the difference, however if it is cheaper they will not receive a refund for the difference.

In addition, tickets can be cancelled and refunded seven days before the scheduled departure date.

This will incur a cancellation fee.

The majority of travellers using the Eurostar between London and Europe from November 10 onwards will be required to hand over biometric information.

This is part of the new border security controls coming into effect in Europe – the Entry/Exit System, or EES.
