Flights cancelled in second day of strike action at Nantes airport
Firefighter and safety workers have walked out. Travellers are advised to check with their flight provider to see if they are affected

Flights have been cancelled at Nantes airport for a second successive day as firefighters and emergency services workers at the airport stage strike action.
Almost all flights to and from the airport before 13:00 today have been cancelled.
Flights from the afternoon onwards are mostly scheduled as planned, according to the airport’s live arrivals and departures board.
If you are travelling to or from the airport today, you are strongly advised to check with your flight provider to see if you will be impacted.
Yesterday (November 6) saw the vast majority of flights cancelled as safety workers walked out due to a dispute over recruitment, pay, and seniority.

The strike motion from workers lasts until December 31, but it is unknown how often protest action will impact services to and from the airport.
A message at the top of the airport website says the action is only set to take place on November 6 and 7.
As of 08:15 this morning, flights tomorrow (Friday November 8) look set to run as scheduled.
