A total of 29km, plus 8km of the Manet stream, received the label, aimed at conservation.

It is part of just 7% of French waterways considered to be “in a very good ecological state”.

The Dronne was found to show exceptional biodiversity, very good water quality and it “flows freely” because of its natural banks and sediment.
