I read Richard Stevens’ letter on climate change (September) with some interest, not least in his notion that there is an international conspiracy, headed by the UN, to run a world government funded by a 2% carbon tax.
As a scientist I go by evidence and there is an obvious mechanism for global warming through the greenhouse effect and atmospheric carbon dioxide. If there is a “balancing contrary factual view” to conventional opinion then perhaps Mr Stevens could express it, rather than peddle cheap theories.
