Mail vote for popular Brigitte
With up to 250 letters a day arriving for First Lady Brigitte Macron, the Elysée has allocated five mail staff to help with the replies and speed up work to prepare an official role.

Previous First Ladies received around 10 letters a day so the higher volume is a sign that Mrs Macron has gained people’s affection. Former teacher Mrs Macron has a staff of three in her private office. A formal role at the Elysée would allow her to support causes close to her heart, such as education, health and disability and especially autism.
