Mystery lottery winner of €1m in French Alps has until Friday to claim
The winner has still not come forward, almost two months after their win

A mystery lottery winner in France who won €1 million last month but has not yet claimed their prize, has been warned they have until this Friday to come forward.
The EuroMillions win happened on September 3. Yet, almost two months later, no-one has come forward to claim their prize, organising company Française des Jeux (FDJ) has said.
FDJ is struggling to find the winner. All it can say for sure is that the winning ticket was bought by someone in Haute-Savoie.

The deadline for claiming the cash is rapidly approaching, FDJ has warned. The deadline is 23.59 on Friday, November 1.
If it is not claimed, the sum will be lost and paid back into the EuroMillions reserve fund.
The winner is invited to go to a sales outlet with their winning EuroMillions grid ticket and their receipt proving that they were the buyer of the ticket.
Alternatively, they can call the FDJ customer service number on 09 69 36 60 60 (from within France) and get in touch with the ‘accompagnement et expérience gagnants (winner support and experience)’ department.
EuroMillions draws take place twice a week, on Tuesday and Friday evenings. There is a minimum guaranteed top jackpot of €17 million, which can roll over up to a maximum of €240 million.
The odds of winning the top jackpot are just one in 139,838,160.
However France has good odds overall. FDJ states that people in the country have been statistically more likely to win money than those in the other participating nations of the United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Ireland, Austria, Switzerland, and Luxembourg.
