Netflix now available with Canal+ bundle in France
The TV and film streaming service Netflix will now be available to subscribers of the French service Canal+, as part of a new bundle agreed between the two companies.

From October 15, Netflix will be included in the Canal+ Ciné/Séries pack for an extra €15 per month, bringing the total subscription amount to €35 per month (as the Ciné/Séries pack costs €20 per month).
Subscribers will have access to all of the content available on Netflix in France. Netflix content varies significantly from country to country - usually due to licensing reasons - but there is a wide variety of French-language, English-language, and international content on the French directory.
Netflix also produces its own programmes in different countries.
In France, these have included Osmosis, Marseille, and Plan Coeur. English language hits have included The Crown, Stranger Things, Orange Is The New Black, House of Cards, Narcos, The OA, Ozark, Sense8, and Bojack Horseman.
And the German time-travel thriller series Dark has become one of the most-watched German-language shows, captivating viewers from across Europe.
As with all Netflix shows, if there are different language dubbing or foreign language subtitle options available for the content chosen - and there usually is - you will be able to set this while watching.
Your French login should also work internationally - for example, if you are travelling to the UK and log in to Netflix from there - but you will still be limited to the Netflix content available in the country you are logging in from.
Netflix currently has almost six million subscribers in France, and has been available in the country since September 2014.
On its own - without Canal+ or any other service - the French service currently costs from €7.99 to €15.99 per month, depending on how many screens you use and the quality of streaming you require.
The partnership with Canal+ “is likely to be extended” to other European countries imminently, starting with Poland, the companies said.
It is also set to be the first of several between Netflix and other providers, with Disney+ and AppleTV+ also expected to enter the market in the coming months.
Founded in California in 1997 as a DVD rental company, Netflix now has more than 137 million subscribers worldwide, including 58 million in the USA.
