Newspaper 'now wrapped in chips'
February's edition of Connexion will be the first to be delivered wrapped in compostable material made from wheat, potato and corn starch...
The Times columnist Daniel Finkelstein’s recent tweet on chips and newspapers caught our eye.
His line that once chips came wrapped in newspapers and now newspapers come wrapped in chips is now true for Connexion.
Once chips came wrapped in newspapers, now newspapers come wrapped in chips. https://t.co/iZ9OEXw5b6

From our next edition (February) our postal copies to subscribers will no longer be in plastic but in a eco-friendly compostable wrapping made from wheat, potato and corn starch.
For information, you should not put the film in your yellow bin for recycling but in your composting bin with fruit and vegetable organic waste.
And, please, don’t eat it (yes, a reader has asked if they can add it to recipes…)
