No flights at Geneva airport as computer bug closes Swiss airspace
Flights in and out of Zurich airport have also been affected

Update, 09:25: Skyguide has since confirmed that Switzerland's airspace has been reopened at that flights in and out of the country are resuming.
Switzerland temporarily closed its airspace this morning (June 15) due to an IT-related issue, meaning all flights in and out of the country were suspended.
Genève Aéroport earlier this morning stated that all of its flights would be grounded until 11:00. It then posted a second update just before 09:00 to say that Swiss air traffic had gradually resumed from 08:30.
Swiss air navigation service provider Skyguide stated that it experienced a “technical malfunction” in the early hours of this morning, which is why Swiss airspace has been closed to traffic for safety reasons.
“Skyguide regrets this incident and its consequences for its customers, partners and passengers at Geneva and Zurich airports, and is working to find a solution.
“Skyguide will provide further information as soon as it becomes available.”
It has not so far confirmed Genève Aéroport’s statement that the airspace was reopened at 08:30. It has also not yet offered an explanation for the IT failure.
Swiss media reported that flights to Switzerland were this morning being diverted to Milan.
