Macron confirms what he wants to say to Trump when he visits US next week
Ukraine, EU and US relations and geopolitical situation are unsurprisingly key topics
Nostradamus saw Trump’s election and now sees war
French fortune-teller's predictions appear to be true
After seemingly ‘predicting’ the election of Donald Trump in 2017, the 16th century French seer Nostradamus foresaw a positively scary year in 2018... with world war, economic collapse, volcanic eruptions all around the Pacific and Vesuvius exploding.
Born in St Remy de Provence in 1503, Michel de Nostredame has become known for the four line poems he wrote in 1555 as Les Prophéties.
Interpretations of the vague lines say he predicted the pierced eye that would kill his king, Henri II (in a joust) and also the rise of Napoleon.
The line “The great shameless, audacious bawler... will be elected governor of the army” is seen to refer to Trump, the US commander in chief. And, he says, “la fausse trompette” will spark the destruction of Israel.
However, although he says that war will start in France, his former home, Maison de Nostradamus in Salon de Provence where he wrote his books, is open for visitors and has a full programme for 2018.
