Platinum Jubilee: French boy delighted with second card from the Queen
Seven-year-old Noé Patrel loves the Queen and has now received two cards from Her Majesty plus letters and best wishes from ‘Connexion’ readers
A Normandy boy will feature as the British Embassy’s youngest Vendredi Voisin in Jubilee week, after we flagged up his love of the Queen and the UK.
The series on its Instagram page highlights people who have contributed to good links between the countries in some way.
The Connexion spoke to seven-year-old Noé Patrel last year after his exchange of letters with the Queen was picked up in local French press.
He had written to express condolences on the death of the Duke of Edinburgh.

Noé is now proud to have a second card after he wrote to congratulate her on the Jubilee.
He is also delighted to have had about a dozen letters from readers with good wishes and stories about the UK and the royals.
He said: “I’d like to say hello to all the readers, and thank Connexion for writing about my story with the Queen and all the readers who read it, and who wrote to me and sent presents.
“I had letters from Rouen, Charente-Maritime, Auch, Paris, Nice and England.
“You can still write, and I will reply, as I have to all the others so far. Hugs to you all, take care and God save the Queen!
“I wish lots of good things to the Queen in her Jubilee year and good health above all.
“I would love to meet her one day.”
