SNCF opens ticket sales for Christmas train journeys around France
TGV Inoui and Intercités trains can be booked up to January 2, while Ouigo service reservations are open up to July 2023

People planning Christmas trips around France can now book their train tickets for journeys taking place up to January 2, 2023.
French rail operator SNCF opened Christmas ticket sales for TGV Inoui and Intercités services at 05:45 this morning (October 5).
If you wish to travel after January 2, you will need to wait until the beginning of November, when reservations will open for this period.
High-speed Ouigo train tickets are already available to book up to July 7, 2023.
These low-cost services will also be serving permanent destinations, which will begin to open in December and continue until spring 2023. These include Paris - Brest, Paris - La Rochelle and Paris - Perpignan.
Between December 15 and March 27, there will also be a daily return service between Paris-Gare de Lyon and Bourg-Saint-Maurice, via Grenoble, Albertville, Moutiers-Salins and Aime-la-Plagne.
Ticket prices start at €16 for adults and are fixed at €5 for children under 12.
Booking tickets as soon as they are released can result in savings for passengers, as well as guaranteeing a place on the busiest services, which fill up quickly.
All tickets are exchangeable and reimbursable free of charge until three days before the day of departure. If you cancel two days before departure, you will be charged €15 per person on TGV Inoui trains and 40% of the price of the ticket on Intercités, up to a maximum of €12.
International TGV trains travelling to Spain, Switzerland, Italy and Germany can be booked up to six months in advance, and Eurostar reservations are open for trips up to August 30, 2023.
Thalys trains travelling to Brussels, Amsterdam and Cologne can be booked up to February 4, with all tickets exchangeable and cancellable without charge up to seven days before departure.
