A mild and calm weekend is in store for most in France although conditions may shift for those in the extreme north and south.
In the south, a threat of clouds is prominent throughout much of the weekend (although rain is unlikely) and temperatures will drop on Sunday across the north.
Friday April 4
Conditions are largely similar to the previous few days, as France stays dry (except a few brief morning showers on the Normandy coast) and calm.
Winds are still blowing in the south, but will not reach the levels they did under Storm Nuria midweek.
The morning is cloudy across the north, centre, and west, but even the thickest clouds will disperse by the afternoon.
In the south, cloud coverage persists, particularly in the Pyrénées, south-west, and along the Mediterranean.
Temperatures will remain warm, reaching 20C across France, with the highest possible temperatures being 24C in Rouen and 25C in Auxerre.
Saturday April 5
These late-spring conditions will continue into Saturday, which will again be warm and dry.
Sunny skies are expected everywhere except the south-west, where thick clouds are possible.
However, they are not expected to bring much rain and only the Pyrénées foothills will see any form of showers.
Temperatures will again reach 20C or above essentially everywhere (even in cloudy areas), although coastal areas of Normandy will only reach around 13C due to strong coastal winds.
Surprisingly, the south will generally be cooler than the north by a couple of degrees.
Sunday April 6
Sunday morning will see similar conditions, with the north and centre of France sunny.
Clouds in the south will become more threatening – greyer, and bringing thunder to the Mediterranean and Atlantic coasts – but again are unlikely to bring significant rain.
Cool winds will see temperatures drop significantly in the north and centre.
They will generally drop by between 7C - 9C, and locally by 10C, compared to Saturday.
In the south, temperatures will remain at the same level, potentially even getting slightly warmer in the south-west as gale force winds come to an end.
Highs of 24C around Bordeaux and Toulouse as well as Marseille.
