Temperatures to drop bringing snow to some areas of France this week

Snow will fall at higher altitudes and even in some low-lying areas this week as temperatures drop, with wet, overcast and blustery weather forecast for most of the country.
Many areas will see temperatures fall by several degrees this week as a cold front from the British Isles descends over France.
On Monday (November 18), thick clouds will cover the northern half of the country, with showers likely in some areas, particularly the Hauts-de-France region.
Highs of 18C are expected in Nice, Alpes-Maritimes
On Tuesday, the settled weather will give way to rain and gales as the cold front arrives.
Winds of 30 to 80km/h are forecast, starting in the north of France in the morning, before covering the whole country by evening.
The gales will bring showers to most of the country.
Highs of 18C are expected in Perpignan, Pyrénées-Orientales.
On Wednesday, the skies will be clearer in most areas, however markedly colder weather will arrive. Temperatures will drop by several degrees.
The gales are forecast to continue, albeit with less intensity in most areas.
Snow is likely at high and medium altitudes in the morning and evening, with light snow possible in some low-lying areas including Haute-Marne.
Highs of 16C are expected in Nice, Alpes-Maritimes.
