Low-cost airline easyJet is to end flights to and from Paris Beauvais airport in its latest shake-up of services in France.
The carrier currently flies three routes between Paris’ third airport and Milan, Lisbon, and Nice, all of which will stop by the end of October (with Nice being the last route to be axed).
“Like all airlines, easyJet is constantly evaluating development opportunities,” it said in a press release announcing the change, adding it wants to “focus on routes with high demand.”
Beauvais was never “a strategic development axis,” and there were no plans to make it a frequently served destination nor turn it into a base, the company added.
As Beauvais is not one of the airline’s bases, ending routes to the airport does not directly impact jobs at the company.
The announcement comes less than a month after easyJet announced it would close its Toulouse base.

The airline only began operating flights to and from Paris Beauvais airport in autumn 2022, signalling that the routes in question were struggling to maintain profitability.
Each of the routes are served by other airlines, and in some cases, such as a Nice to Paris flight, were directly competing with easyJet routes, taking off from a different Parisian airport.
The airline was the first to serve Paris’ three main airports (Beauvais, Orly, and Charles de Gaulle) when launching the services in 2022, it said.
Beauvais, situated around 80km north of Paris, is already a major airport for easyJet’s low-cost competitors Ryanair and Wizzair.
EasyJet added that it “continues to be the second largest airline in France and [wants to] expand operations,” and that it “continues to serve 22 airports in France.”
It said it has opened 20 new routes in France this year.
