Low-cost carrier easyJet is expanding its spring/summer flight roster from French airports with 20 new routes, including three new services to the UK.

A service between Paris Orly and Southampton will begin in March, flying twice per week on Monday and Friday, starting at £25.99 one-way.

This will be joined by a Bordeaux to Birmingham service from May, also flying twice per week on Sundays and Thursdays. Tickets begin from £34 one-way in the summer period.

From June onwards, a direct route between Rennes and Manchester will begin with one-way tickets from £34. It will also fly twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays

Currently, all three routes are seasonal and scheduled to end during October.

Tickets for October flights are currently slightly cheaper than in the summer months, as low as £21 one way, but availability is limited and not all the flights run for the entire month.

Some of the routes, including the Bordeaux to Birmingham route, were already announced prior to Christmas.

There were fears easyJet would reduce the number of routes in France after announcing plans to close its hub at Toulouse-Blagnac airport.

These new routes should help quell some of these concerns, despite the carrier going ahead with the closure of the Toulouse base.
