A road in Saint-Malo is being closed for three months to protect hundreds of toads and newts that cross it to reach breeding grounds.
The road from Minihic to La Varde is on a Natura 2000 protected site containing toads and palmate newts which are on the IUCN endangered list. It will be closed until mid-March.
