Statistics show immense increase over 10 years
Voluntary giving in France has risen 70% in 10 years with €7.5 billion being donated to associations in 2015 (the last year with full figures) – and generous private individuals making 60% of all donations.
Research by the Fondation de France found 60% of donations were reclaimed against income tax with a 66% tax reduction meaning a €10 donation actually only costs €3.40.
