Watch mountain biker complete La Défense tower challenge
Now Aurélien Fontenoy has his sights on a taller challenge still
Charity challenges in France often involve marathon runs, ice buckets or bicycles - but one mountain bike champion has done something beyond even the most dedicated charity sportsperson.
Aurélien Fontenoy, who is well-known in MTB Trial world, rode up the stairs of 140m, 33-storey Tour Trinity in La Défense.
The professional rider took 30 minutes to navigate the 768 steps from the ground floor to the 33rd. He admitted to putting his foot down once, on the 30th floor. To make up for his 'error' he went back down to the bottom of that flight and rode it a second time.
He took on the challenge for the Rêves association, which works to turn the dreams of seriously ill children into reality.
He now plans to reach even greater heights - and has set his sights on the Eiffel Tower for a future fundraising challenge.
