Wolf sighting is first in Charente for century
A wolf spotted on the side of a road in Charente is the first to be seen in the department in more than a century.

The latest sighting near Gurat follows confirmation of wolves in the Dordogne in 2015, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques in 2018 and 2019, and in south-western Charente-Maritime in late 2019.
