Your lightbulb moments
Readers discuss their experiences of ordering bulbs
In response to your invitation to recount ‘free bulb’ experiences (newsletter): I ordered in December 2016 in the hope of using them during the winter months, and my credit card was debited immediately.
Several mails received over six months gave progressive and specific dates by which the bulbs should arrive, but no action. I sent regular requests for a realistic delivery date... with no reply. I was inclined to believe it was a Ponzi scheme but could find no incriminating evidence on the web.
Then, out of the blue, a delivery van arrived in mid-July with the bulbs. Roll on the darker evenings and dull mornings so that the benefit may be gained!
Robert, GARD
I ordered some free bulbs and also paid for extra ones in December 2016. I was told they would arrive before March 31 2017 then they were expected in April, then May 15. To date I have not received them and have twice confirmed my address. Running out of patience...
