With monthly fees for elderly care homes outstripping the average French pension (€1,376 last year), at an average of €1,810 in private sector Ehpads and €1,708 in state homes, a survey has shown that costs for able-bodied people in résidence services pour seniors can be cheaper. However the prices are very variable.
A survey for website logement-seniors.com found average monthly costs for serviced apartments with a concièrge and some group activities were €923 but could be as high as €2,000 for a studio and from an average of €1,528 to €3,310 for a three-room flat.
