If you had more than €300 to pay for your taxes for the 2024 tax season, then a final debit will be taken from your bank account today (December 27).

In August, you will have received your avis d’imposition (tax assessment) following your income declaration (for 2023 income). This shows if you have tax to pay and how much.

A first debit should have been taken from your account on September 25, a second on October 25, a third on November 25 and a final one is due today.

The amount depends on how much tax you had to pay.

There is no action required from you - the tax authorities will take the money directly from your account, providing your bank details are up to date with them.

If you look at your bank statement or transfers, it will appear as by the ‘direction générale des Finances publiques’ under the label ‘solde impôt revenus 2023’ and with your invoice number.
